EMA provided LEED Enhanced Commissioning services for the City of Irving’s new Central Fire Station, a 10,000-square-foot facility featuring drive-through apparatus bays, a fueling station, modern living quarters, and a small museum honoring the department’s historical legacy.
EMA’s commissioning scope included the VRF + DOAS HVAC system, plumbing and ventilation systems, and both interior and exterior LED lighting. Key responsibilities encompassed developing and maintaining the commissioning plan, reviewing design documents, overseeing functional performance testing, and conducting a 10-month post-occupancy warranty review.
This project offered EMA the meaningful opportunity to support a vital community asset, ensuring that all building systems were fully operational and optimized for the Irving Fire Department before occupancy.
